 I found that the path could not use C: or D: to redirect the disk where the font file located. It means we can only use files  on the same disk and use absolute path name to be used by GD lib.

-try the PHP 4.1.0 when it's out (it will be released in a few days)
-if it still doesn't work, provide a sample script?

Just for the record: This is a limitation/bug/whatever of the  !@%# gd library.
