This is 10958 all over again. Solved the problem by setting
echo to 'print -r' at the top of the file.

If you did remove ltconfig from the CVS version, you must
have put it back.

The latest CVS means PHP 4.0.7-dev version.
Get the snapshot from http://snaps.php.net/
and if it doesn't work, reopen the #10958 and not another
report about same issue.

This bug can be resolved by "export ECHO='print -r'".
