$i = 123;
printf("%d:%u", $i, $i);

this returns "123:"

i'm told this problem is apparent in v4.0.5 also.

Of course it doesn't work. It is added in PHP 4.0.6 which
is not yet released. The online documentation is still wrong
about this, but there has been a note added to the docs CVS.
