Sorry my english... When i use function crypt() (php 4.0.5) i got the message: 
Warning: crypt() is not supported in this PHP build in test.php on line 3

Version 4.0.1pl - all ok

This was a mistake made in compile time by the person
who compiled the distributed binaries. Will be fixed in PHP 4.0.6
