Compiling php with gd got this error:

gd.c:91: conflicting types for `gdIOCtx'
/usr/local/include/gd_io.h:18: previous declaration of `gdIOCtx'

in php-src-dir/ext/gd/gd.c on line 91 is:

typedef FILE gdIOCtx;

but this variable is allready defined in GD file gd_io.h as struct.

Just comment this line in gd.c:

//typedef FILE gdIOCtx;

and everything works fine

What is the version GD library you are trying to configure
with? And are you sure there aren't any remains of any
older libgd versions in your system?

This should be fixed in PHP 4.0.6R. Please try the
latest release candidate from:

Yes with 4.0.6RC2 is everything o.k.
