for upload of 3 images from POST form
it gives me nothing (even no error message):

echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['name'][0];
echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['name'][1];
echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['name'][2];
echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['type'][0];
echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['type'][1];
echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['type'][2];
echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['tmp_name'][0];
echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['tmp_name'][1];
echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['tmp_name'][2];
echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['size'][0];
echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['size'][1];
echo $HTTP_POST_FILES['size'][2];

even like - echo "$HTTP_POST_FILES['name'][0]";

If this doesn't work with PHP 4.0.5, reopen this bug report.
This should be fixed in it so please update.
