Go to http://www.php.net and you will (not) see the problem. It is especially absent under the
"What is PHP?" sidebar, where the expansion of the PHP acronym is conspicuous by its
non-presence.

Or is PHP completely meaningless? A random spray of uppercase characters?

Or...(darkest suspicion)...does it stand for something so incredibly vile that it dare not be mentioned?

PHP stands for "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor" (it's recursive), it's in the manual: http://www.php.net/manual/en/html/introduction.html

However: this is BUG database, send your comments to webmaster@php.net

It's also right in the titlebar of your browser when you go to www.php.net
