Description: ------------ Hi, i'm trying to compile php5.2.6 on aix 5.3/64bit, with mysql extension. # CC=cc ./configure --with-mysql=shared,/opt/mysql5 --with-mysql-sock=/tmp/mysql.sock and i get this error : checking for mysql_close in -lmysqlclient... no checking for mysql_errno in -lmysqlclient... no configure: error: Try adding --with-zlib-dir=<DIR>. Please check config.log for more information. When i look at that logfile, i see : /* Override any gcc2 internal prototype to avoid an error. */ /* We use char because int might match the return type of a gcc2 builtin and then its argument prototype would still apply. */ char mysql_close(); int main() { mysql_close() ; return 0; } configure:62585: checking for mysql_errno in -lmysqlclient configure:62604: cc -o conftest -g -R/opt/mysql5/lib -L/opt/mysql5/lib conftest.c -lmysqlclient -lm 1>&5 ld: 0706-027 The -R /opt/mysql5/lib flag is ignored. ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: .mysql_errno ld: 0711-345 Use the -bloadmap or -bnoquiet option to obtain more information. configure: failed program was: #line 62593 "configure" #include "confdefs.h" /* Override any gcc2 internal prototype to avoid an error. */ /* We use char because int might match the return type of a gcc2 builtin and then its argument prototype would still apply. */ char mysql_errno(); int main() { mysql_errno() ; return 0; } Is there a bug known, on that kind of configuration? Thanks for help ;-)
