Here's the code snippet I am using: <? $word = new COM("word.application") or die("Unable to instanciate Word"); print "Loaded Word, version {$word->Version}\n"; $word->Visible = 1; $word->Documents->Add(); $word->Selection->TypeText("This is a test..."); $word->Documents[1]->SaveAs("Useless test.doc"); $word->Quit(); ?> instatiating the Word object works fin. I can tell becuse this does not fail when comment all the other code out and I can see in the Windows Task Manager that an instance of Word was instantiated. As soon as I try to do anything else, I get one of those famous XP error screens asking me if I want to send the info to Microsoft. According to this code (which I got from PHP help site somewhere) it looks fairly straight forward. Nothing fancy going on here. Can you help? Thank you.
