I try to compile php 3.0.11 with Oracle support, and have exactly the same problem as mentioned in bugs 1697 (php 3.0.11) and 1818 (php 4.0). I've the configure.in v 1.413, and that should fix the bug, according to the answer to bug 1697. But it doesn't.

I think that the bug 1697, concerning php 3.0.11 is not closed yet.

Nevertheless, php is great. Thanks.

Yes, it does fix it.  You probably forgot to run autoconf after changing your configure.in
file.  You can also just wait for the 3.0.12 release if you are still having problems.
