An error in the documentation. The chapter about predefined variables mentions a variable HTTP_ENCODING that should return the encoding accepted by the browser.  This is already this way since I started using PHP (version 3). But the new documentation still mentions this variable. Only problem is, that this variable doesn't exist. It should be HTTP_ACCEPT_ENCODING.
