In the end of the installation this alert pops up:
component "mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

I have a clean install of win2k server.

This is a known problem with the installer you need to install the microsoft common controls and make sure the ocx is registed with windows. Otherwise use manual installtion method.
