Here is the document I will be referencing to:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.types.string.php

Right below the first table, it says "You can escape any other character, but a warning will be issued at the highest warning level."

That is not true. Please fix it.

Also...I am sorry if I am not supplying a script that will reproduce the error...or a PHP.ini...or a gdb backtracce...but I didn't think any of that stuff would be relevant.
