Hello Guys,

I met a very strange issue with memory limit from php.ini, when i changed it is not apply on the master value of my phpinfo();

i used an Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS with nginx 1.20.1 and php 7.4.3

my nginx is configured with php7.4-fpm

so if i did a grep -r "memory_limit" from /etc/php i get this 
7.4/fpm/php.ini:memory_limit = 4096M
7.4/fpm/pool.d/www.conf:;php_admin_value[memory_limit] = 32M
7.4/cli/php.ini:memory_limit = -1

So normally my php info shoudl be memory_limit 4096M

so i made a simple php file with just this inside :

 cho ini_get("memory_limit")."\n";
phpinfo();


and the result is : 
memory_limit	4096M	128M

as you can see the local value change but not the master 
so i check if i modify my value into the right ini file : 
Configuration File (php.ini) Path	/etc/php/7.4/fpm
Loaded Configuration File	/etc/php/7.4/fpm/php.ini
Scan this dir for additional .ini files	/etc/php/7.4/fpm/conf.d

and yes, so i were already restart tons of time the service of php7.4-fpm and nginx so i decide to reboot the server,  and same result :s


Then i check to change the cli config (just to test)
php -i | grep "memory_limit"
memory_limit => 4096M => 4096M

and here it were correctly on cli, but i didn't understand why on fpm is not working is first time ever i met a problem like this
