Description:
------------
I recently bought a new laptop and after some testing I think something is not doing well. I think it might be better considering it's a new and powerful laptop.

I have a php algorithm with mysql that does a lot of checks on the database, as well as a lot of checks on multiple arrays and found that only 1 cpu core is being used, I find it a bit odd to keep in mind that the CPU is very powerful and I am not enjoying all the CPU capacity.

Laptop specifications are:
- Laptop: HUAWEI MateBook D (14 AMD).
- AMD Ryzen 5 (2500U) 2.00GHz - 3.6GHz CPU (with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx).
- RAM: 8 GB.
- Storage SSD 250GB.

To investigate better benchmarking possibilities, I thought it best to use this algorithm: https://github.com/zendtech/julia

It is ridiculous to see that the processor is working at about 25%, with only 1 of 8 threads at 80% + / - and the other 7 threads almost stopped. The above script has a performance of about 3.2FPS.

Question: Am I asking this question in the right place (PHP DEV) or should I contact AMD?

What should I do? And who should I contact?

Test script:

Actual result:
--------------
FPS 3.2

Sorry but no, this is not the right place. This is a bug tracker. And I don't think AMD can help you either.

It doesn't sound like you're very familiar with multithreading. Perhaps try StackOverflow.
