I have installed pdflib, zlib, libtiff and libjpeg but I still get this error when running configure.

1. What's your configure line like?
2. Do you have pdflib 3.0.2 installed?

Also, did you compile PDF lib with the proper ./configure tag
so that a shared lib will be built?

--enable-shared-lib or something, sorr.. don't recall by heart..
and don't have pdflib currently installed.. (look at --help)

Also take a look at your config.log which may show any errors.
