Just seen that spanish translation is not updated and a warning is missing here:

This function has been DEPRECATED as of PHP 7.1.0. Relying on this function is highly discouraged

This is because the translation has not been updated, the translators for spanish has a tool to notify them and once someone picks it up, it will be fixed :)
