<?php
$c=curl_init();
curl_setopt($c,CURLOPT_URL,"http://lammfellpuschen.de:42000/dumprequest.php");
curl_setopt($c,CURLOPT_USERAGENT,"some ua");
curl_setopt($c,CURLOPT_REFERER,"some reference");
curl_exec($c);
?>

should give a line like headers[Referer] = "some reference"
but does not.

Solution: add the case "case CURLOPT_REFERER:"
in php-4.0.3pl1/ext/curl/curl.c
around line 336.
