the problem with bugid 6433 still remains in 4.0.3 version of php.
The configuration is ok.
Is there a chance to have this bug fixed ?

there is a workaround for the problem: compile apache & php with gcc,
instead of sgi's cc, and all works fine!

I noticed the same entry in syslog file (undefined symbol _array_init ...)
as in the bug 6433, so did an nm on the module and saw the symbol
was undefined in one entry. This made me suspicous...
