When compiling stronghold webserver with php4 support, the linker fails that it cannot find DL_UNLOAD. The only place this symbol was defined was in the php4 libraries. Configure (for php) did not set HAVE_LIBDL (which is correct). Here is how I managed to fix this: Edit Zend/zend.h and at line 84 add this:

# define DL_UNLOAD
