Description:
------------
There seems to be something broken with the bold "&" character of "Source Code Pro" font used on php.net. When "&" is placed in <code>, within a <strong>, it gets a weight of 700 from CSS. This causes a strange character that looks like a smear to render.

Rando page its on: http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.operators.bitwise.php

Thanks for changing that package. I dunno why but "Website problem" is not available in the list when submitting a new bug.

What browser and OS are you using?

I can reproduce the issue with IE 11, FF 43 and Chrome 47 on
Windows 7.

Well, I took a cursory glance at it on Mac OS X 10.11 in Chrome and Firefox. Could not reproduce there. I'm guessing it has to do with Windows font settings somehow.

Indeed it does seem to be Windows related. All browsers have the symptom that i tried on Win 10. In Nix (Mint 17) (or OS X) its fine.

(Updating the summary, since we actually use Fira Mono ahead of Source Code Pro.)

I can't reproduce this on a Windows 10 VM or Windows 8.1 box, but we haven't updated our Fira font files for over a year, so I've pulled the latest version of Fira and pushed it to the web/php repository in the hopes that'll help.

Can you try force-refreshing at least a couple of hours from now (to give it time to propagate out to mirrors) and seeing if that fixes the issue, please?

Cool, thanks Christoph.

I'll close this as fixed for now. OP, if you're still having trouble, please post a comment and we can have another look.

Looks good on this end now (Win10), thanks all.
