Description:
------------
From manual page: http://www.php.net/getenv

 string getenv ( string $varname )

should be:

 mixed getenv ( string $varname )

It could return a false boolean value too.

Many PHP functions return FALSE in case of *failure*; that is,
however, never denoted as return type "mixed". Changing only the
documentation of this particular function would be rather
inconsistent. If you deem that should be changed *generally*,
please file a respective feature request.

Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to file a bug report and for
also providing a patch. If you like, you could use the online
documentation editor available at <https://edit.php.net/> next
time.
