According to http://www.php.net/ChangeLog-5.php, the last time SQLite library bundled with PHP was updated (to version 3.7.7.1) was August 2011. Since then SQLite has been improved much. Please update this aspect of PHP. I am personally interested in pdo_sqlite.

Since this issue has been reported the bundled SQLite3 has been
updated several times. See the Changelog for details.
