When I had downloaded and extracted the archive: VC11 x86 Thread Safe (2013-Jul-18 20:59:48), I tryed to run the php (and then php-cli) executable, but in both cases I had recieved the error mentioned in the actual results

The file <file.exe> isn't a valid Win32 application


In place of <file.exe> should be placed php.exe or php-cli.exe

5.5 serie does not support windows XP anymore. Stick to 5.3 or 5.4 if you still 
use XP (which is not maintained anymore, you should really move to a more recent 
windows).

Unfortunatelly, I'm not using my own laptop, so I can't do that... besides, I can't afford myself to buy the latest Windows OS
