The following files are included in the distribution as
c source, and make does not force regenerating them from
the corresponding .y or .l file:

ext/standard/parsedate.c
main/configuration-parser.c
main/configuration-scanner.c
Zend/zend-parser.c
Zend/zend-scanner.c

Some of them contain hard-coded paths beginning with /home. On a system where /home is automounted, these result in
"permission denied" errors and the make fails.

Workaround is to remove the files listed above before invoking make.

This should be fixed in future releases.
