When trying to use the mySQL based httpd-php3 binary, invocation causes a missing libraries error. The files complained of apparently only come in the source package because they aren't in the binary distribution, nor are they found on the system. The distribution is unusable as shipped. Documentation needs to be added so binary users can make it work.
