I'm trying to make PHP4 work as a Apache DSO, the compilation goes well and all seems normal but when I start Apache it just quits silently. If I disable;

LoadModule php4_module        /System/Library/Apache/Modules/libphp4.so

and

AddModule mod_php4.c

.. from 'apache.conf' then Apache runs as normal.

I have tried the following versions of PHP:
PHP4pl2, PHP4PR2, Latest snap (php4-200008260745)

I use the following settings:

./configure --with-apxs --with-config-file-path=/Local/Library/WebServer/Configuration

The php.ini-file is unchanged from the installation. I have made serveral clean installs of MacOS X to make sure the enviroment is clean.

Try using fullpath in --with-apxs and report
back whether it helps or not.

Are there any entries in error_log ??

Tried using fullpath in --with-apxs, same result..

When I start Apache directly i get the following error

dyld found undefined symbol:
_ap_os_is_path_absolute
Aborting.

I'm trying to get a newer version of dyld from the WebObjects updater.

See a simular problem with WebObjects at;

So this isn't any bug in PHP4 at all. Closed.
If problem still persists after installing the WebObjects updater
reopen.
