A simple script like:

echo $SCRIPT_FILENAME;

returns nothing. We just moved servers and compile pl2 and this doesn't work. It used to work on our previous server. We tried recompiling, didn't work.

However, the SCRIPT_FILENAME variable shows up in the phpinfo() with the correct value.

OK, 2 things here:

1. You have register_globals disabled, this means SCRIPT_FILENAME won't be in globals.
2. There was a bug in 4.0.1pl2, that registering didn't work too good with all settings of register_globals and track_vars. Try latest version or wait for soon-to-be-out 4.0.2.

We had been using php.ini-optimized, switch to php.ini-dist and everything worked fine.
