The setup details are as below.

Linux 6.1
horde version horde-1.2.0-pre11
IMP Version 2.2.0-pre11
PHPLib Version phplib-.2b

All above tarballs installed and webmail was configured with setup.php3 script. While testing the webmail returns error

Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function ldap_connect() in ct_ldap.inc on line 26

well, if its undefined it is simply not there
ldap support is optional, not a php core feature

reconfigure/rebuild php with ldap support and 
make sure it shows up in phpinfo()
