When I compiled php4 source code I found this error:

User feedback:
My configure line was:

configure --enable-ftp --with-apache=apache_path --with-oracle=oracle_path
--enable-track-vars

If you don't need mysql, add this to the configure line:

--without-mysql

And if you do need it, please upgrade first to php4.0.2
and reopen this bug report if this still happens.
