Description:
------------
---
From manual page: http://www.php.net/function.dns-get-record#refsect1-
function.dns-get-record-notes
---

"For compatibility with versions before this function was implemented on such
platforms as Windows, *BSD and MAC. Try the » PEAR class » Net_DNS."

I think it is trying to say it is not implemented on Windows, BSD and MAC, and
offers an alternative.

to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.
