Currently it is hard to find out some information about an 
image, such as, getting the number of scenes in an image.  If 
there was some form of calling and sending in the parameters 
via the extension it would be great.  Something like 

getimageidentityformat("%n") 

i suppose the name is not important but getting at the 
identity and format options are.

Thank you for your bug report. This issue has been fixed
in the latest released version of the package, which you can download at
http://pecl.php.net/get/gmagick

Instead of returning a huge array of image properties, Gmagick has getter methods (i.e. getImageIndex, getImageIterations) that allows you to obtain specific attributes. This is reflective of available functions exposed by the GraphicsMagick Wand C API. To get the number of images for example, a new getNumberImages() method had been added in the latest release.
