When a user clicks on a form element TYPE=IMAGE, the server is sent two variables,
one with .x appended and one with .y appended. Are these turned into PHP globals
when the form is received? If so, how do I access them since they're not legal PHP
variable names? I read through the documentation and searched dejanews and altavista.
I can't believe I'm the first person to run into this. Probably I'm just being stupid.

PHP automatically converts periods into underscores in

GET, POST, and Cookie data.



A section explaining this has been added to the PHP3

manual (taken from the PHP/FI2 manual).
