Description:
------------
Ok, The new OCI8 extension cannot be compiled against the oracle 8 libs, since oracle 8 is not support anymore.
But I installed the new libs (from oracle instant client).
And now, when I connect I have a "Oracle does not support this version anymore".
I have to connect to a Oracle 8.0.5 database.
Can't use the new version of oci8 extension, and can't install the new libs, because oracle client does not support this version.
Please make oci8 extension the lines to fix the "OCI_NLS_CHARSET_MAXBYTESZ" problem.

Don't use the new extension then, use the old one.

The hack patch given in http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=42456
will work for most (if not all?) character sets.
