There is no dsp file for this project as of version 1.0, so pear does not install it under windows.

Actual result:

C:\PHP>pear install fileinfo

3 source files, buidling
The DSP Fileinfo.dsp does not exist.

Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PECL itself.  For a
list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PECL, please
visit http://pecl.php.net/support/ as this bug system is not the
appropriate forum for asking support questions.

The PEAR installer does not support building PHP extensions on Windows.  Please check the documentation on how to build PHP and its extensions on Windows.
