Description:
------------
It would be good if the bug database would send reminders to all developers of a given package about open bug reports that havent change in a while (1 week, 2 weeks or 1 month? I am not sure what would be optimal).

the hall of shame every month would probably be sufficient (eg. same as php-bugs monthly summary to internals)

if alans idea would be followed up then there would be also rather nice to have something like in the weekly gnome devs newsletter.
http://developer.gnome.org/news/summary/2004_February29_March6.html
here's an example (it's almost at the bottom)

It shows how many bugs have been added this week for package, how many have been fixed, then shown some number after substracting fixed from opened bugs this week and how many are open overall.
Also of course then there would be overall stats for pear in general (this would be well if you look at gnome newsletter a complete ripp off BUT ... this is a very very good way to keep track of the bug status :) )

I don't think such a list of "the most active people" can be fair. This does not reflect the people really working to solve bugs, to coordinate between package-maintainers etc. However a list of open bugs (maybe even sorted in "new", "old" and "really old") would be helpful.

Hehe that is true ... and really i wasn't talking about most active person thingie... i had forgotten that thingie even existed ;)
And like you say the active person is a bad idea and there would be no need of it here on pear :)
