I'm guessing that some set of install instructions is not 
making it clear that php.ini-optimized has some 
repercussions -- Most notably a high number of users are 
confuzzled that their variables don't work...  I realize 
there's only so much we can put into the install 
instructions, but whatever is there is possibly 
insufficie
