Description:
------------
---
From manual page: http://www.php.net/function.var-dump#Description
---

I think prototype of this variable-length argument list function is badly written. If you look at similar functions, you will see extra parameters written like this :

array list ( mixed $varname [, mixed $... ] )

so I think prototype of var_dump should become

void var_dump ( mixed $expression [, mixed $... ] )

Regards,
Geoffray

Expected result:
----------------
void var_dump ( mixed $expression [, mixed $... ] )

Actual result:
--------------
void var_dump ( mixed $expression [, mixed $expression [, $... ]] )

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.

Today's earlier commit (r311886) changes the output to your expected result.

Ok but the same problem also occurs in other translations, perhaps in all translations except english :

- french
- brazilian
- japanese
- german
- spanish
- turkish
- ...

Geoffray

The translators do not react to English documentation changes within seconds.
There will be some time lag (days, weeks, months) between English changes and
other languages reflecting those changes, if at all.
