The signature_alg parameter was added in version 5.2.0, and not in version 5.0.0 
as writed in the documentation (english or french).
See http://php.net/ChangeLog-5.php => Added support for all supported algorithms 
in openssl_verify 

With PHP 5.1.6, when using 4 parameters with openssl_verify, I get the following 
warning: 

Warning: openssl_verify() expects exactly 3 parameters, 4 given in 
/var/www/html/...

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
