Description:
------------
These statements will not return true on the mysql_select_db

Is there something I need to do in MySQL to make sure the database is selectable.
The connect statement works, the mysql_select_db statement fails.

Test script:
---------------
//
$link =  mysql_connect('localhost','vlf','vlf') or die ("connect problem");
$db = mysql_select_db('vlf',$link) or die ("false DB");

Expected result:
----------------
select the database from MySQL

Actual result:
--------------
false db
