Trying to compile php4 with pdf support for 3 hours... and it still doesn't work.

./configure output:
---------------
checking for memmove... (cached) yes
checking whether to include Pdflib 3.x support... /usr/local/src/web/pdflib3
yes
checking for libz needed by pdflib 3.x... already zlib support
checking for jpeg_read_header in -ljpeg... no
no
checking for png_create_info_struct in -lpng... no
no
checking for TIFFOpen in -ltiff... no
no
checking for PDF_show_boxed in -lpdf... no
configure: error: pdflib extension requires pdflib 3.x.

BUT:
- I do have pdflib3
- I do have tifflib and
- I do have jpeglib

I have to get this thing work before tomorrow...
Thanks in advance for any hint! This is getting me crazy...

My configure string:

"./configure" \
"--with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs" \
"--enable-track-vars" \
"--enable-safe-mode" \
"--with-gd=../gd1.3" \
"--with-ttf" \
"--with-mysql=/usr/local" \
"--with-ldap" \
"--with-xml" \
"--with-zlib" \
"--with-zlib-dir" \
"--enable-memory-limit" \
"--with-recode" \
"--with-dbase" \
"--with-pdflib=/usr/local/src/web/pdflib3" \
"--enable-ftp" \
"--with-tiff-dir=/usr/local/src/web/tifflib" \
"--with-java=/usr/local/src/web/jdk118" \

Update:
when I removed the
"--with-java=/usr/local/src/web/jdk118" \
line from ./compile line, it looks much better...

Found this thanks config.log: seems to be a conflict with jdk libs... strange. :

Please verify that it?s still happening using the latest version of PHP (release 4.0.1pl2 or CVS).

I?m even unsure it that version is supported...

I was wrong. for pdflib 3.0.1 you need a newest version of php, pdflib 3.0.0 should be supported by 4.0.1pl2

Have you solved this problem?
It's clearly problem with your libraries not in php4.

At least I have succesfully compiled php4 with pdflib support with latest CVS and php4.0.1pl2.

Try recompiling those libs and php4. (And more recent version of it!)
