There is a note at towards the bottom of the page that says, "Note: The goto operator is available as of PHP 5.3." Right above the the xkcd comic...

Well, I didn't see the note, do you really think that all the people always read the WHOLE page about a command
And if they are used to a certain style (conventions) in your documentation they also wouldn't expect the note!!
Can only tell you that you would save a lot of people some trouble (if you stick to your own conventions)

For most language features, the note is actually towards the bottom of the page:

[1] Closures: http://www.php.net/manual/en/functions.anonymous.php
[2] Nowdoc: http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.oop5.properties.php
[3] Type hinting: http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.oop5.typehinting.php
[4] Default values by reference: http://www.php.net/manual/en/functions.variable-functions.php

I certainly hope people read the entire page. It contains valuable information ;)
