I get the following error when compiling the latest PHP4 CVS code:

In file included from php_virtual_cwd.c:33:
php_virtual_cwd.h:61: parse error before '*'
php_virtual_cwd.h:61: warning: data definition has no storage class
php_virtual_cwd.h:548: conflicting types for 'virtual_opendir'
php_virtual_cwd.h:61: previous declaration of 'virtual_opendir'
make[2]: ***[php_virtual_cwd.lo] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory '/php4/main'
make[1]: ***[all-recursive] Error 1
make: ***[all-recursive] Error 1

As for my configure line take your pick:

./configure

or:

./configure \
--with-ldap \
--with-snmp \
--without-gd \
--with-mysql \
--with-pgsql \
--with-apache=../apache_1.3.12 \
--with-swf \
--enable-wddx \
--enable-magic-quotes \
--enable-ftp \
--enable-exif \
--enable-ucd-snmp-hack \
--with-openssl=/root/openssl-0.9.5a \
--enable-trans-sid

A Quick note:

  The problem has to do with the following code:

#ifdef HAVE_DIRENT_H
#include <dirent.h>
#endif

found in php_virtual_cwd.h, it seems that HAVE_DIRENT_H is not being defined, however, the following:

% cat php_config.h | grep -i 'dirent'

Yields:
#define HAVE_DIRENT_H 1

So I know HAVE_DIRENT_H is defined as true, yet the #ifdef statement still fails.

Has been fixed in the meantime.
