./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs=/data/local/apache/bin/apxs  --enable-track-vars

finishes fine and then when executing make it stops with the
error message:

make: file '.../php-4.0.0/build/program.mk' line 29:Syntax Error

PHP Version 4.0.0 from php-4.0.0.tar
IRIX 6.5.7m
Apache 1.3.12 with mod_so

Any information on getting it installed would be appreciated.  I have tried to get info from the email list regarding this but have not gotten any information and hope I have not missed something simple.  Thanks...

Does this problem still persist with more recent version of php (from CVS or http://snaps.php.net) ??

Reopen if problem still persists when using PHP4.0.2 (which was just released).
