There is an statiocal linkes headerfile in <phpdir>/ext/domxml/php_domxml.h.

fix:
You should set et to "#include <libxml2-2.0.0-DIR/parser.h>" (Line 25)... where 
libxml2-2.0.0-DIR is the directory you unzipped your limxml to.
configure your libxml2-2.0.0 with "-prefix=/usr", so bug id=4903 is worked-arround.
(use "--with-dom" for php-configuration)

It's already fixed in PHP 4.0.0.  Please read the Dos & Don'ts before submitting a bug report!
