I installed 4.0.0
copied the 2 dll's to my system directory
modified my registry key
used the ini file that came with the download

4.0 Release Candidate 2 works on my machine, 4.0.0 and 4.0 RC 2 both use the 
4.0.0 php.ini (with latest version ZendOptimizer)
and the 4.0.0 msvcrt.dll

The only difference between the two are the php4ts.dll and php4isapi.dll

4.0 Release Candidate 2 works great

4.0.0 Gives me the HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error

Hi Guys:

The error is somewhere in php4ts.dll. ;)

I know big help <--(sarcasm, in case you didn't get it <--(sinisism)) ...

The php4isapi.dll from 4.0.0 works great with the RC2 php4ts.dll.

Everything seems to work mint, except the 4.0.0 php4ts.dll.

Have you tried a newer release of php?  If so, has the problem re-occured?
