Description:
------------
manual reads "stream_encoding (PHP 5 >= 5.2.0)"

but it is not available in PHP 5.2 or 5.3

references from the IRC:

<@Rasmus> Isn't stream_encoding() PHP6-only?
[...]
<@Rasmus> we don't support explicit encodings on streams in PHP 5
[...]
<@Rasmus> so i don't se what it would do
[...]
<@Kalle> http://cvs.php.net/viewvc.cgi/php-src/ext/standard/streamsfuncs.c?r1=1.72&r2=1.73
<@Kalle> committed to HEAD only

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.
