PHP 5.2.9 compiled without error under AIX 5.3 using native compiler with "-D_LARGE_FILES" option. Subsequent make test run-tests.php produces "PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function fopen()."

PHP does not support LFS properly. There's another bug report already 
about that: bug #27792
