What was the full configure line you used?

After process of elimination...  here is what I have found:

Using this configure:

./configure --with-libdir=lib64 --disable-rpath --with-pear --with-curl=/usr/local/lib --with-gd

Gives me the GD build test failed error.

If I take out --disable-rpath.  It compiles fine.
