Description:
------------
I miss a note about Exceptions within the exception documentation. The question is: does PHP itself throws exceptions or not? Does any of the functions throw exceptions? Or does exception solely created by programmers? What leads to the question: does one should install an general exception handler since PHP itself throws exception?

Hope it is ok to request this by a bug report. Sorry if it doesn't.

If it takes some time to integrate this into the documentation I would be glad if one could mail me a short answer.

This information may be some where. But I don't know how to find it.

Thank you!

PHP mainly just throws "errors", not exceptions, if a method or function throws an exception information can be found on their manual page.

Is that what you mean?

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.

"Internal PHP functions mainly use Error reporting, only modern extensions use exceptions. However, errors can be simply translated to exceptions with ErrorException."
